Science Summary:
The IASOA web and data portal have been recognized as a key and evolving deliverable of the IASOA planning process. The "Data-at-a-Glance" portal, in particular, adds value above isolated efforts through acting as a single cross-site gateway to all shared IASOA data. There are currently over 180 links of this type in the "Data-at-a-Glance" portal of the website, with varying degrees of functionality, and limited standard metadata. Potentially transformative insights into long-term and pan-Arctic atmospheric trends reside in this archive waiting to be harvested. In response to the high priority placed on the IASOA web and data portal by the steering committee, and in recognition of the value of interoperable metadata standards for broader data harvesting and use, the PI will conduct a pilot project to enhance the IASOA data portal through application of shared ontologies, coordination with other Arctic atmospheric data archives, standardization of metadata, and outreach to user communities.

Logistics Summary:
The Knowledge to Action Planning Proposal (KAPP) will guide IASOA’s shift from Knowledge to Action, sustain support for key data sharing enablers and promote partnering activities that will help IASOA achieve transformative impact as an IPY legacy. The four key deliverables of this planning processl include: 1. A Science Plan: Updated science questions and a framework of experimental approaches that address those questions 2. A Strategic Plan: An updated mission statement supported by measurable goals 3. A Work Plan: A detailed list of prioritized activities with a clear structure for international participation designed to meet the Strategic Plan goals and answer Science Plan questions. Work planning will also include substantial implementation support to initiate value-add science outcomes. 4. An Enhanced Web and Data Portal to support the data sharing needs of the science community and the informational needs of the broader community of stakeholders No fieldwork is conducted.
